Christmas is one of the most wonderful times of the year, but not for some. Nine misfits almost gave up hope in life, until they were visited and beckoned by the ghost of a dead child who gathers them altogether and tells them that all is not lost. With the support of the ghost child and a mysterious boy named Rudy Clausen, these misfits eventually find the courage, integrity, and hope that each one of them is searching for and maybe something even more.

The only son of Bickham and Paleina Gripola. Many years ago, Nicholas was murdered by his parents via strangulation then decapitation, due to the fact that Nicholas was always on the Nice list while his parents Naughty; this is shown by the draping cranberry red scarf that obscures the bottom half of his face. Now a specter, he only comes out during the holidays to watch over ever Christmas and make sure no individual goes through the same ordeal as he did. Nicholas is distinguished by his six-second sentences (i.e. whenever he speaks, it's always six seconds long).
