Athletes from all over the US have been summoned to a special competition; twelve of them are unbeknownst that they’ll eventually become a worldwide team known as the Rainbow Riders. Each member is native to a certain part of the US and excels at a certain sport; therefore, they are a rather “balanced” bunch. Sponsored by Suguri Youshoku and led by Urikas “Uri” Rokushoku, these boys beat down their opponents and achieve success through flying colors. No pun intended!
The safe haven outfit is worn by the boys when they do ground sports such as baseball, Frisbee, etc. Zakuro's jean vest is magenta, while his jean shorts and climbing shoes are orange.
Being small and nimble, Zakuro self-proclaims himself as the “cutest” of the Rainbow Riders. Though not as rich and famous as Susuki Suishoku or popular as Ume Shishoku, he’s an outspoken and flamboyant little boy who likes to show off his nimbleness and petite size, often using them to manipulate others. Zakuro is a gold medal gymnast who can perform on the balance beam, tightrope walk, and do trapeze acts; he now wants to master contortionism, which he claims that he is “still working on it”. He hates being touched, especially being ruffled on the head; regardless, Uri Rokushoku enjoys doing this to him because of how “cute” he is.
