I Can Sing C Sharp by MaryKosmosVer2 I Can Sing C Sharp by MaryKosmosVer2
Everybody who read Lord of the Flies knows this unforgettable quote. I've been planning to draw my own picture based off the line, and this is how it turned out. It's supposed to be Jack singing that C sharp note, while the others respond in different ways.

Ralph is yelling "Jack, shut up!"
Piggy seems to be calm.
Simon is gasping about Jack's high note.
Roger is at the brink of rage.
Maurice is seeing stars. @_@
Sam and Eric couldn't stand the sound, and cried because their ears began to hurt.

Jack seems to blush no matter what state of emotion he is under, whether it's joy, rage, embarrassment, etc.

This was what came into my head when I heard Jack say "I can sing C sharp". I asked the choir teacher what it meant, and after she told me that it meant the highest singing note that can "break glass", I was all "What the heck?" and then this picture came... ^^;

Aha, yes. My redhead friends all blush easily and turn totally red when they laugh. It happens with blonds a lot too xD.

Interesting... No wonder why Jack blushes a lot no matter what state of emotion he is under...

Now I'm going to imagine him all red whenever he's mad. Which is...pretty much all his scenes.

Thanks... ^^

Whenever I mentioned that Jack can sing C sharp to one of my sister's friends, she'd laugh her head off and say "I can't imagine him singing that high!" :rofl:

Hahaha XD Me and a friend had a similar talk about that too! Except, we assumed Jack was a girl. XD;;

LOL. There are lots of things make Jack a little girlish, like his last name for instance. What kind of boy would have a last name like "Merridew"? I think honeydew watermelons when I hear that name. Every time I pass by a melon, honeydew or watermelon, I think Jack... And then, there are the eyelashes I gave him in my interpretation of him... That's twice the girlishness!

I might submit a picture about that...

Hahaha! I think Merridew is a better last name than Martin though... wait. Have you read Coral Island? Err. Anyway, I only assumed he was girly because of his voice...and ability to turn Ralph into a very whiny and needy boy. BD;;

"Why do you hate me? DD:" -Ralph

I'm trying to find time to read the book, but school's been getting into my schedule.... I saw the book in my school library, but I couldn't check it out because I was only there to look up American writers but I really want to read that book indeed...

Really? Come to think of it, when I watched the 1963 movie adaptation of Lord of the Flies, Jack did sound a little "womanly"... :lol:

Haha! I don't know if its going to be the same for you, but I laughed the whole time when I read it! XDD The Jack in Coral Island and the one in LOTF are so different...its hilarious! XDD Especially when you try to imagine Merridew saying Jack Martin's lines. XDD

JACK IS ALWAYS SO WOMANLY. PMS-ING AT RALPH AND ALL THAT. *SHOT* Even in the 1990 version the boy who played Jack looked womanly. XDDD
